Radiology Technologist

Radiology Technologist, must possess a valid and current license. The work of this position is performed in an interventional pain management physician office. Must have working experience with C-Arm Fluoroscopic X-ray and Interventional Pain Management.

Position's Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepares patient for radiological procedures by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  
  
• Gain patients cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
  
  
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  
  
• Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  
  
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, walking, bending, reading and the ability to perform these functions while wearing a lead apron. Long periods of time sitting, standing and viewing of video monitors. Ability to transport patients in wheelchairs and on stretchers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in Radiology Technology from an AMA accredited program. Minimum 2 years experience in radiology. Experience in an interventional pain management setting preferred.

Position will need to travel from Louisville to Frankfort as needed.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
