Job Description

The Research Coordinator supports the work of the Marketing Department as well as the real estate brokers by undertaking a variety of administrative, clerical and research related tasks.

The Research Coordinator is responsible for acquiring, entering and verifying real estate marketing data related to properties, listings, tenants and comparable transactions. They will analyze market data and draw insightful conclusions and are responsible for utilizing all the data available to uncover trends, patterns and other insight of interest to the real estate industry. They are responsible for maintaining well-written, timely market and sub-market reports and produce insightful and relevant commentary. The Research Coordinator is responsible for understanding all company research related database programs. The Research Coordinator will work closely with brokers to address their research needs and formulates text and graphics for regular market information reports. The Research Coordinator may conduct real estate transactions and earn a commission if they choose to do so in addition to their main job functions.

Core Duties:

1. Verify market analytical reports related to transactions, vacancy, development, absorption, rents, tenants, and leasing activity.

2. Performs regular maintenance and updates to property databases by conducting telephone surveys, on-site surveys, research forums, broker meetings, extracting data from brochures and other marketing materials, contacting civic organizations, outside agents, internet, and other sources.

3. Delivers statistical and analytical reports as required by leadership and sales professionals.

4. Responds to ad hoc internal and external client requests for data, graphs, commentary, etc.

5. Assist with Broker’s Opinion of Values.

6. Assist the marketing team with putting together presentations and responding to RFP’s.

7. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to co-workers.

8. Other duties may be assigned.


Job Requirements:

Listening and Communication Skills: The Research Coordinator will be expected to follow instruction from their supervisor, and their ability to understand those instructions with little or no follow up will be critical. Strong listening and communication skills ensure that the information is relayed correctly.

Computer Skills: Writing emails, creating MailChimps, maintaining CRM database, heavy use of CoStar, creating spreadsheets or printing documents. Knowledge and use of other software as assigned. Ability to type 60+ words per minute and operate computer systems efficiently.

Self-motivated with the ability to work with little or no supervision.

Ability to work flexible hours to meet the requirement of the job.

Maintains reliable attendance record and notifies supervisor if late or unable to work.

Organizes and utilizes time efficiently with an ability to appropriately set priorities to accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Displays professional, mature behavior and attitude in speech and action.

Demonstrates consistently pleasant demeanor and tone of voice. Abides by established policies and procedures of the Company.

Related prior experience sufficient to perform the duties and responsibilities outlined for this position.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
