Norfolk Iron and Metal Company, one of the largest family-owned steel service centers in the Midwest has the perfect opportunity for an individual looking for the flexibility to drop off/pick up kids off at school, we we're currently hiring for general Part-Time (9a-1p) Monday thru Friday Warehouse positions in our Durant, IA location. An ideal candidate is familiar with warehouse equipment and understands working with steel.
Possible job requirements may be working at heights, receiving railcar shipments, reading receiving reports/bills of lading, picking/banding/stacking steel bundles, reading a tape measure, assisting crane operators with bundle placement, loading trailers and operation of various machinery; braner, combi, crane, etc.
This position requires lifting materials in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly. These positions will push, pull, lift and carry on an average of 30 pounds and will use their full range of motion while performing the essential job functions listed in the job description.
