It's the first of it's kind and hopefully the first of many more with the support of the right team and leadership of a great House Supervisor. They’ll look to you for support and partnership as together you'll shape how we work, synergistically, to support the needs of the individuals we serve. You'll do this in a very large and beautifully renovated home situated on a 6 acre lot in Columbus, MN near Forest Lake, Centerville, Hugo, Lexington and Wyoming, MN newly updated with safety feature and quality of life in mind for everyone.

About the Role - What You'll Do

With your heart to help others, ability to visualize and realize possibilities, creative thinking, and people leadership you'll manage the house and people in it while helping our high behavior, and sometimes physically aggressive, inhabitants experience life and meet their unique goals which includes some hands on DSP work. We'll count on you to create a successful, enjoyable educational, and safe environment for everyone and that means having compassion and flexibility while keeping the house in compliance and running smoothly for those we serve. This looks like:

  • Servant leadership, person-centered and therapeutic interactions
  • Staffing calendar and schedules management
  • New employee training, development, and review reporting
  • Money management
  • Communication ninja
  • Identifying and implementing better ways of working

About YOU - the Requirements

  • 2+ years as a House Supervisor for residents with developmental disabilities and high behaviors. Because of where we're at and where we're headed, we need a seasoned House Supervisor who knows what's needed to support high behavior individuals and the DSP's who support them. This is a stretch role with a Designated Coordinator role on near horizon.

  • 2+ years of supervisory or people management with care professionals. There's a lot that goes into serving employees who serve others and you'll need to have the wisdom and skill to motivate and lift them up.

  • Secondary education coursework in psychology, social work, or social services. Some of the knowledge you'll need come from educational facilities.

  • At least 2 years working in industry systems for documentation, reporting, and scheduling. As a seasoned HS, you know how important all of this is for a successful, safe, and smooth running home.

  • Working knowledge of 245D and GER compliance. That's because your next step is DC!
