Responsibilities and Purpose

  • Document medications administered, along with effectiveness and any side effects. Update resident’s chart.

  • Administer & assist, the administration of medications according to the physician order.

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living such as with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene (includes shaving, oral care, nail care, hair care, foot care), toileting, eating and mobility.

  • Observe and report changes in resident’s physical condition and cognitive/emotional status as needed.

Desired Experience and Education

  • Desire and compassion to fulfill the mission of Tealridge Assisted Living Community.

  • Ability to communicate appropriately with patience and kindness to residents, team members and resident families.

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

  • Valid Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.

  • Experience in an assisted living or long term care community.

  • Ability to pass criminal background check.

  • Ability to pass Post Offer/Pre-Employment Screen (POPES), which measures physical abilities.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, current certification as a Nursing Assistant and medication aide in this state, certification in CPR/AED/First Aid, and at least one year of experience, preferably in a long term care setting or assisted living community.
