CliffMade is creating a culture of hospitality where none existed through delicious coffee and everything that goes well with it.

The purpose of the General Manager role is to create a whole bigger than the sum of it’s parts by effectively executing operational systems that grow the café through hospitality, quality by empowering & enabling the team to create a culture of hospitality.

The General Manager’s 5 Major Contributive Responsibilities:

       While not exhaustive, this is a general idea of the responsibility of this role.

1. Creating common performance within the team, understanding, embodying and teaching our core values & our expertise

2. Growth through hospitality, quality and effective management and stewardship of resources, including: Labor, COGS, Inventory Supply, Waste and Cash Handling management

3. Demonstrating hospitality to customers and employees, identifying tensions and teaching the team

4. Maintaining high quality standards of beverages and food, through skill, teaching and accountability

5. Maintaining café equipment and facilities, inside and out.

Tasks (not limited to):

 

· Hiring & staffing

 

· Mentoring & Empowering staff

 

· Training employees on processes and procedures

 

· Working café shifts & performing ground level task as needed

 

· Maintaining 5S Organization

 

· Managing BOH Flow of Operations

 

· Gathering & tracking metrics

 

· Creating & implementing budgets

 

· Ordering supplies/product within budgets

 

· Deposits & Cash Handling

 

· Growing in Expertise

 

· Tracking Metrics

 

The DSe Manager role is a part of the Davis Street Espresso Circle, and reports to the Director.

 

This role is Management, Salary, $40,000/yr, 5 days a week, Monday-Saturday, and 45-50 hrs/wk.

 

This role requires minimum 2 years barista experience, minimum 1 year managing experience, and recommended—but not required—to have Hospitality or Management education.
