Civil Construction Estimator McDonald Excavating, inc. is seeking a highly experienced Civil Construction Estimator. Duties would include, but are not limited to: -Collaborating with General Manager on work selection -Solicitation of subcontractors and material vendors -Complete take-offs and estimation of projects from start to finish -Complete Best Value Proposals -Building and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors and subs -Keeping bidding software(HCSS Heavybid) up to date with accurate cost history, resources and bid activities -Attending pre-bid meetings -Working collaboratively with Project Managers and Superintendents throughout construction This individual is replacing a retiring employee with 30 years of estimating experience, our expectation is that this person is well experienced and requires little training other than familiarization with our systems.
